Who wore What at FILMFARE AWARDS 2016!

Filmfare Awards is a much-awaited award function of the year. Needless to say, the red carpet was a star-studded affair. Let’s take a look at the breathtakingly beautiful celebrities of the tinsel town on the red carpet!

Deepika Padukone

Deepika wore red on the red carpet and looked stunningly hot in a Ralph and Russo backless gown. She completed her look with a red pout and ruby diamond earrings. The actress bagged the Best Actor Award for her stupendous performance in Piku. She delivered a speech thanking her parents and got teary-eyed while reading out an old letter her father had written to her years back.  She read, “If you love what you do nothing else matters, not even awards. Follow your heart and live your dream. You are our daughter and then an actress.” We agree!

Alia Bhatt

The actress performed at the event while Shah Rukh Khan imitated her steps. She got the Flower Power game strong by wearing a Sachin and Babi dress. She made headline by wearing UNMATCHED SHOES!!! So much for attention, huh?

Salman Khan

The actor wore all things black especially the focus being the black bling jacket and how can we forget his eternal favorite bracelet. He kept the audience entertained (As Usual!) with his wit and spectacular performance on stage. He hasn’t won a single Filmfare after 1990 despite being nominated a lot of times. We are glad at least Bajrangi Bhaijaan bagged the Best Story Award.

Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh is the most experimental when it comes to dressing. Although, he chose to go suttle this time by wearing a chequered tux. From bagging awards to entertaining guests to Deep-Veer’s PDA and everything in between, he was a center of attraction at the Award function. He got the Best Actor award for his role as Peshwa Bajirao in Bajirao Mastani by none-other-than Rekha.

Rekha

The elegant and evergreen actress was seen in her trademark Kanjeevaram Sari. She completed her look with exquisite Jadau jewelry, maroon lipstick, and red vermilion or sindoor on the center-parting hairline. (We wonder why!) Rekha gave away the Best Actor Award this year as well and cheered for Ranveer Singh with the popular dialogue ‘Har Har Mahadev’ from Bajirao Mastani.

While we loved the dazzling celebrity looks on the red carpet, we couldn’t miss Moushumi Chatterjee being glorified with her Lifetime Achievement Award. We loved her role in Piku as well!

LifeTime Achievement Award

Shahrukh Khan hosted the show with Kapil Sharma and kept the audience glued by his wit. He left the audience in splits by his impeccable sense of humor.
